The Start of 365 Days of Happy

Share It Please

"There is no way to happiness; happiness is the way." - 1001 Ways to Happiness

I have been struggling for quite a time what to do with this little digital brainfart medium. For one, I have always been in and out of my writing wind. Second, I just do not know what could be the uniting piece for my blog since I am such a scatterbrain. I write when I want to, whatever I want to write about and sometimes, it just gets me derailed, thinking: What is it that I want which I can really write about everyday?

So I did my little research and almost all of my resources are saying the same thing -- write about something that you love, or how to make money or do reviews. That is pretty hard.

WRITE ABOUT SOMETHING I LOVE. I could not write on a daily basis about my puppy, or my books, or my marriage.

REVIEWS. I could write about travel or restaurants, but it is not often that I actually engage myself in these activities and I have not a penchant for food.

MONEY-MAKING THINGS. I am a Corporate Junkie for a reason. I haven't discovered my spirit of entrepreneurship yet.

So there goes my list. I was almost close to shutting this down when it just dawned on me. There is something that I am passionate about : being happy. Not the ostentatious kind of happy where you go on cruises or buy something incredulously expensive. It's an everyday kind of happy. A book. A nice gesture. A makeup that made me feel beautiful? It can be anything!

So indulge me. All of us yearn to be happy. This is me showing my own little version of happiness. It is also my way of gratitude to the heavens for every little thing, every little blessing that is granted to me, my friends, my family.

They said each and every day, there is something to be happy about. You may have a bad moment but it doesn't last for the whole 24 hours. There can always be that glimpse of happiness in our days if we want to see it. And if we can't see it, I just would like to quote Sophia in Vanilla Sky (one of my favorite movies), "Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around."

So bad vibes, scoot over. Happiness abound!

xx,

Corporate Junkie
