Get Armed and Ready for the 2014 National Canon PhotoMarathon

There are a few things that are interesting to me, now that I have become a stay-at-home wife. Most of my time is devoted to doing some consultancy works, some freelance writing and mostly, taking care of my shop. However, I could not pass on the opportunity to still share this great upcoming event to all of you photography aficionados out there. Why?

Because I still bleed red. Through and through. And I was thinking of putting up posts about marketing, corporate life and my past persona every Mondays.

Anyway, I am excited because for the first time in a long time, I can go as an observer to this big event and not be part of the working committee!!! YAY!

If you haven't known about this yet, Canon PhotoMarathon is a one-day on-the-spot photography competition designed to challenge the participants to capture a one-in-a-million shot that coincides with the theme given during the event itself. What sets the bar higher is that participants need to do this under time pressure. 

Canon PhotoMarathon is already on its ninth year and they are expecting to fill up the streets of Bonifacio Global City (once again) with photography enthusiasts from different walks of life, all contending to take that winning photograph.

There are two categories: point-and-shoot and Digital SLR so you can choose which one you'd join in. Grand prize for the Point & Shoot Category include a Canon EOS 700D, a dual arm foto crane from Steady Tracker, a Black Rapid camera strap, a Transcend 32GB wifi SD Card and 1 International Roundtrip ticket from Cebu Pacific. Grand prize for the Cameras with Interchangeable lens (DSLR) Category include a dual arm foto crane from Steady Tracker, a BlackRapid camera strap, a Transcend 1TB wifi SD Card and 1 International Roundtrip ticket from Cebu Pacific. On top of that, the winner will also be the first proud owner of a Canon EOS 7D Mark II in the Philippines.

The event will start as early as 8:00 AM and around three thousand participants are expected to join. If you are interested to push yourself and your love for the craft to the limits, go ahead and register here.
