So I signed up with Jeff Goins' Intentional Blogging Challenge to push myself to write more. As they say, practice makes perfect. On the first day, he requested us to make something out of an often wasted space in our blog, the About Me page. I was so inspired that I was able to put together something which I am quite proud of and I thought, "Okay, that's a start."
Now, the group is already on their Day 12 and I have been lagging waaaay behind. I am still fixing my Day 2 Challenge and this particular exercise has struck a cord: What is my blog's focus?
I have been struggling for this for a loooong time. Do I want to write about fashion because I sell accessories? Do I talk about food or travel? What do I do now that I do not have the liberty to move around that much? Do I talk about corporate life and all the politics behind it or probably, all the lessons I have learned? I couldn't wrap around what I wanted to do... until this challenge. Until now.
There were three elements that Jeff wanted us to answer to be able to come up with something really tangible in our blog: a subject, a theme and an objective.
Should I have encountered this several months ago, I would have just dropped off this blog because I could not filter my blog to these three elements. However, now that my situation has changed (seemingly for the better, I have yet to know), I have answered the question in several minutes:
Is this sustainable? Yes, I think it is. With a specific audience? I would like to think so. Something I am passionate about? Yes. I would love to pour all my heart into this.
So what do you think of my blog's focus? Is this of interest to you? Hit me up in the comments page!
xx,
Balot

Subject: Homemaking
Theme: The Before and After of a Corporate Junkie (Tales of a New Stay-at-Home Mom)
Objective: To encourage, converse with, inspire and get inspired by the life of women who are transitioning from working in a corporate world to being a homemaker.
