Losing your heart's desire is tragic. But gaining your heart's desire... It's all you can hope for.
We all long to find the perfect fit, the security, the passion the endless love, & at a certain point of my life, I wished for all of these - to immerse oneself in someone else and to wake up a heart long afraid to feel. I had my moment, to believe in someone and the possibility of love, to hold on to the moment for it is the beginning of always. I celebrated of the chance I took, and the challenge that lies ahead...
Then came a decision, to ignore or simply rise above the pain of the past. Time & sound stopped & movement stopped for much, much more than a moment - the silence was deafening & just like that, the moment was gone.
Stephen King once wrote: 'Time takes it all, whether you want it to or not. Time takes it all, time bears it away, and in the end...there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometimes we lose them there again.
What we shared is ours and ours alone... and if having that is tragic... then give me tragedy. Because I wouldn't give it back for the world.
